Today is Wednesday, May 2. Here are five things you need to know.
Rabies Clinic: The town has a rabies clinic from 4 to 6 p.m. in the DPW garage behind town hall. Cost is $10. Those attending must bring documentation of previous rabies vaccinations for their pets.
Evening Of A Cappella: This Friday, May 4 head over to Wakefield High School, 60 Farm Street for an evening of A cappella music that will include performances by three Lynnfield High School groups (the A caBellas, the A caPeople and the LHS Chamber Singers), among other local student groups. Admission is $15 ($10 for seniors and students) and the doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Curious About Cuisine: On Wednesday, May 9, the Lynnfield Library’s Curious About Cuisine group takes a tour of the Whole Foods in Woburn at 11 a.m. Call Library Director Nancy Ryan at 781-334-5411 if you’re interested in going.
Lunch and Lecture: Aging with Grace-Nancy D’Amore from Home Health Foundation will be at the Lynnfield Senior Center to discuss the steps we all can take to make the aging process “graceful” and fulfilling. They will talk about eating healthy, exercise, stress and how it effects people negatively, how to maintain a healthy weight and companionship and the importance of staying connected to others. Thurs. May 10 at 12:30 p.m. Free. Please sign up. Lunch will be served at 11:30 for $3. Must sign up for lunch by noon the day before. Please sign up separately for the lunch and the lecture at the desk.
Pioneer Sports: Today at 3:30 p.m., the varsity track team hosts Newburyport High School at LHS. The varsity and JV baseball squads both take on Manchester Essex in home games at 3:45 p.m., as will the varsity and JV softball teams. The boys varsity lacrosse team plays at Ipswich at 4 p.m., the girls varsity lacrosse team plays at 5 p.m. at Burlington, and the boys JV lacrosse team plays at 5:30 p.m. at Ipswich High School.
