Five Things You Need To Know: March 20
Lynnfield Business Coalition's annual Candidates' Night is 7 p.m. tonight at LHS.
Today is Tuesday, March 20. Here are five things you need to know.
Candidates Night: The Lynnfield Business Coalition is sponsoring the annual Candidates Night tonight at Lynnfield High School at 7 p.m. With several contested town races this year, this is a good chance to get to know your candidates in advance of the April 9 town election.
Townscape: As noted in this article about the need for volunteers to help keep Geraniumfest going, Townscape has a meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Animal Hospital.
Author Visit: Tonight at 7:30 p.m., it’s “True Crimes From the Court of New England,” a presentation at the Old Meeting House featuring author and former trial lawyer Diane Rapaport. The event is presented by the Lynnfield Historical Society. Rapaport’s latest book is “The Naked Quaker: True Crimes and Courts of Colonial New England.”
Harry Houdini: On Friday afternoon at 3:45 p.m., bring the kids by the Lynnfield Library for a Harry Houdini birthday party, featuring stories about magicians. And tomorrow night at 6 p.m., there’s a Lego Night at the library.
Town Warrant: With town meeting rapidly approaching, it’s a good time to start brushing up on what voters will be asked to consider on this year’s warrant. For example, Article 19 would set up some new fees for the health department, while Article 24 would authorize the beginning of some design and planning services for a future athletic field complex that would be located on land now owned by the Lynnfield Center Water District off of Main Street on the way toward Middleton.
