Today is Thursday, June 14. Here are five things you need to know.

Last Day Of School: Today is the last day of school in Lynnfield. For those keeping score, the next school year begins Wednesday, August 29.

Pet Care Clinic: If you’re a pet owner who would like to become better informed on what to do when a medical emergency presents itself, Dr. Diana Watkins of the Animal Hospital of Lynnfield is hosting a pet care clinic and live demonstration this Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish, 173 Albion St., Wakefield.  The cost is $10 and participants will learn about CPR for pets, bandages and splints, and dealing with seizures, dehydration, toxins, and more. Proceeds benefits the Veterinary Scholarship Trust of New England (VSTONE). To reserve your space and purchase your ticket contact Janet Rivers of Saint Joseph Parish at 781-910-5011 or janetrivers@verizon.net.

Golf And Tennis: There’s still time to sign up for  the Lynnfield Rotary’s Golf and Tennis outing, which is on Friday, June 22. The golf is at Reedy Meadow and the tennis is at the Middle School. Those interested in playing golf that day can email Tom Adamzyck at tomadamzyck@hotmail.com  while those interested in tennis can contact Ellen Crawford at ELPC18@aol.com or 334-2823 for details.

Hello, Dolly! – As noted in this interview last week on Lynnfield Patch, former town resident Jacquelyn Piro Donovan is in the area starring in Hello, Dolly! at the North Shore Music Theatre from now through June 23. For ticket information, click here.
