Five Things You Need To Know: July 9

Upcoming activities in town include Trail Mix Mixer, Reid's Ride, and bring your grandkids to the Senior Center.

Today is Monday, July 9. Here are five things you need to know.

Trail Mix Mixer: Before next week’s concert/horribles parade, bring the kids by the Lynnfield Library at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 for a trail mix mixer. The kids will enjoy some stories about epic climbing adventures, and they will get to make their own trail mix using nut-free ingredients provided by the library.

Town Business: The next meeting of the Lynnfield Selectmen is on Monday, July 9 at 7 p.m. at town hall.

Annie: If you didn’t get a chance to see former Lynnfield resident Jacquelyn Piro Donovan in last month’s production of “Hello, Dolly!” at the North Shore Music Theatre, she is returning to the venue later this month to play Miss Hannigan in “Annie” from July 17 to 29.  A Lynnfield Patch interview with Piro can be viewed at this link, while tickets and more information can be found at the NSMT website.

Reids Ride: Online registration is now underway for the 8th annual Reid’s Ride, which is on July 15, 2012. Cyclists make the 28-mile ride from Lynnfield High School to Stagefort Park in Gloucester.  To register or to learn more, click here.

From the Lynnfield Senior Center:  Bring Your Grandkids to the Senior Center - Creature Teacher will be here with some of their exotic animals. We will learn about their habitat and may even be able to hold or pet some of the animals. Tues. July 17 at 12:30 p.m. Free. Please sign up. Treat the kids to a pizza lunch for $2.00/$3.00. You must sign up for lunch by 12 noon the day before. Please sign up separately for the lunch and the lecture. Everyone welcome!
