Five Things You Need To Know: Jan. 31

Tonight: It's Lego Night at the Lynnfield Library.

 

Today is Tuesday, Jan. 31. Here are five things you need to know.

Lego Night: Tonight at 6 p.m., bring the kids (aged 6 and up) by the Lynnfield Library for a Lego night. The library provides the Legos.

“Annie” Show: This weekend, Lynnfield Community Schools presents “Annie.” Showtimes are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets ($10 for adults, $8 for students/seniors) are available at the door or can be purchased in advance by emailing lynnfieldtheater@gmail.com

Town Business: Tonight, the Lynnfield School Committee meets at the high school media center at 7 p.m. The Lynnfield Planning Board meets at town hall at 7:30 p.m., also on Tuesday.

LHS Sports: Today at 4:30 p.m., the varsity wrestling team is on the road against Josiah Quincy. The Pioneer basketball teams are playing Amesbury today. The boys are on the road with the JV game at 5 p.m. and the varsity game at 6:30 p.m. The girls are playing at home, with the JV game also at 5 p.m.  and the varsity game at 6:30 p.m. Also, the junior varsity hockey team play at home (Peabody Rink) against Medford at 8:20 p.m.

Calling all Chocolate Lovers – Sunrise of Lynnfield will be at the Lynnfield Senior Center on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 12:30 p.m. to demonstrate how to make chocolate truffles and other goodies with samples for all. There is no charge but sign-up is required at the front desk. Lunch at 11:30 a.m. for $2. Sign up for lunch by noon the day before.
