Susan Leffler Celebration: On Thursday, March 15 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., stop by the Lynnfield Middle School Café for a community celebration in honor of Susan Leffler, who recently retired from her position as director of Lynnfield Community Schools after 24 years. The celebration is being held by Lynnfield Community Schools and the town’s parent teacher organizations.
Office Hours: This Wednesday, Feb. 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., your local Patch people will be having breakfast at Christine’s Café and Confections. The Portuguese Table: If you enjoy the cuisines of the world, you won’t want to miss the next Curious About Cuisine meeting at the library on Wednesday, March 14 at 3 p.m. Group members will welcome local author Ana Ortins for a presentation on Portuguese cuisine. Volleyball Clinic: Speaking of Lynnfield Community Schools, a Middle School Volleyball Clinic (girls in grades 5-8) gets underway for three sessions beginning Wednesday, March 7 and continuing Monday, March 12 and Tuesday, March 13 from 3 to 5 p.m. Michelle Perrone, coach of the LHS varsity team, will be the instructor and the cost for the three sessions is $75. LHS Sports: Today at 1 p.m., the LHS varsity hockey team wraps up its season with a road game at Andover.
