Five Things You Need To Know: April 6

Easter Fun Day and Spring Tea at Centre Congregational Church tomorrow.

Today is Friday, April 6. Here are five (or possibly six) things you need to know.

Library: The Lynnfield Library is closed from 9 a.m. to noon today for staff training.

Easter Fun Day: On Saturday, April 7th at 10 a.m., Centre Congregational Church will be holding a special Easter Fun Day with crafts, games, and an Easter Egg Hunt on the front lawn of the church. This event is for children ages 10 and under accompanied by their parents.  The public is invited to attend. Please be sure to bring a basket to collect your eggs. The church is located at 5 Summer St., Lynnfield. For more information call  781 334-3050.

Spring Afternoon Tea: The Young Adults of Centre Church will also be hosting a tea on Saturday, April 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Old Meeting House.  In addition to a variety of teas they will serve elegant pastries, finger sandwiches and much more.  The cost is just $10 per person in advance and $12 at the door. Call the church office at 781 334 3050 to reserve your tickets.  Easter bonnets are welcome, but not necessary.  All proceeds will help fund the church mission trip to Joplin, MO where we will be helping with the rebuilding efforts after the devestating tornados last May.

The Promise: Calvary Christian Church presents its annual Easter week performances of "The Promise." Performances this weekend are: Friday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m., Sat. April 7 at 2 and 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Monday Town Election: Don’t forget that Monday is the town election in Lynnfield. Residents can vote at the high school between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. For all of Lynnfield Patch’s candidate interviews and statements and campaign coverage, click here.
