Little League Golf Outing: Lynnfield Little League is holding its annual golf outing on Thursday, May 17 at the Black Swan Country Club in Georgetown. Start time is 1 p.m. and the event will also feature a raffle, auction and BBQ lunch followed by an Italian dinner in Black Swan’s ballroom. Local Nonprofit Group: The local nonprofit group BKP is holding their next book-packing session this Saturday at the lower level of the Centre Congregational Church from 9:30 a.m. to about 1:30 p.m. The group ships books overseas to libraries in impoverished communities in the Philippines. They mostly take books for children and young adults. Volunteers and book donations both welcome. Call 781-334-5637 for more information.
Brad Jones: Rep. Brad Jones has announced that his next constituent service hour for Lynnfield will be Friday, April 20 at town hall from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Teen Mad Libs: On Tuesday at 3 p.m., teens in middle and high school are invited to stop by the Lynnfield Library for some fun with “Mad Libs,” those fill in the blank word games that many of us also remember fondly from back in the day.
LHS Sports: Today on the Pioneer sports calendar, the varsity and JV softball teams both play at 3:45 p.m. at home against Amesbury. The boys varsity lacrosse team plays at home against Triton at 4 p.m., with the JV game at 5:30 p.m.
