Lynnfield Marathoners: Various Lynnfielders are running in next week’s Boston Marathon, and many are taking the opportunity to raise money for a cause that’s important to them. Here are some examples - and if you're a Lynnfielder running for a specific cause, email email@example.com and we'll see if we can help you get the word out.
- Last month, some may remember reading about Michael DiSilvio, who is running his fourth Boston Marathon to raise money for cancer research in honor of his late mother.
- Shannon Collins is running to raise funds for cystic fibrosis research. This Friday evening, the Brian Maes Band will help her raise funds with an 8 p.m. performance at the Lynn Knights of Columbus Hall, 177 Lynnfield Street in Lynn. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. There will also be raffles and a silent auction – to donate items call 781-820-2108 and leave a message. For more information click here.
- Also, the Ace Bailey Children’s Foundation has several runners participating in this year’s marathon and raising funds to help children in hospitals. Click here for more information.
