This weekend in Lynnfield, the LHS winter sports season is in full swing, starting Friday night with back-to back home games as the boys and girls' varsity basketball teams take on North Reading. The girls play at 6:30 while the boys' game is at 8 p.m.

In other LHS sports action this weekend, the varsity wrestling team will be competing at the Wakefield Tournament in that town starting at 9:30 a.m.

Elsewhere, the varsity hockey team plays Masconomet at 7:35 p.m. at Valley Forum.

Also, the Centre Congregational Church youth and senior choirs will hold their Christmas concert on Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. at the church.

Finally, members of local nonprofit group Gathering Change are continuing to raise money before the holidays to help aid local food pantries and families in need. On Friday, they will be wrapping presents for donations at the Burlington Mall Macy's until 10 p.m. On Saturday, they will return to wrap presents from 2-10 p.m. In both cases, they can be found on the third floor in the Home Furnishings Department.
