The following is an announcement from the Lynnfield Art Guild:
On Thursday, April 19 at 7 p.m., the Lynnfield Art Guild (LAG) invites the public to attend its spectacular annual auction and biggest fundraiser of the year at the Lynnfield Senior Center, 525 Salem Street, Lynnfield. Rear doors open at 6 p.m. for viewing; the event is open to the public and all are welcome.
This annual event is a wonderful opportunity to bid on treasures, including art and antiques, and all types of household items, such as children's games and toys in good condition, books and magazines, art and art supplies, jewelry and gift certificates from local merchants and much more. All items in the auction are donated by Lynnfield Art Guild and community members. Those interested in making a donation can bring the items to the center on Wednesday April 18 and on Thursday April 19, the day of the auction, from 1 to 2:45 p.m. and after 6 p.m. the night of the auction. Items must be in good working condition; no computer monitors, TVs, or large items can be accepted.
This year the LAG auctioneers are Phil Hermann and Chris Talbot. Runners for the auction are Gail Rober, Shaila Desai and Maureen Barrett. Cashiers are Charlie Gargas and Bill Gibson. Door prizes are being donated by members Ginny Dodwell, Carol MacKendrick, Ruth Mowder and Lorraine O’Brien as well as local businesses. As always, fabulous door prizes will be awarded every ½ hour! Make sure to attend to purchase and/or win unique items; bring your friends and your cash or checkbook (no credit cards accepted). The Lynnfield Art Guild uses the funds raised to support a scholarship for a graduating senior from Lynnfield High School pursuing art. For more information please call 781-595-6016.
