Old, Old Meeting House: This postcard offers a look at Lynnfield's Old Meeting House by way of the distant past. The Common area looks a bit different in this image, but the meeting house really pretty much looks the same.

Sun O'China: One thing about the North Shore is that in a number of towns, there are classic Chinese restaurants that have withstood the test of time – including the Bali Hai in Lynnfield. However, back in the 1950s, Lynnfield had the Sun O'China restaurant, near the junction of Route 128 and Route 1. Not sure if those two restaurants occupy the same location.

On a side note, what I'd really like to see is a menu from one of these restaurants to get an idea of how much the dishes (and perhaps the drinks) have changed, or if they have at all.

Ship's Haven: Last week, we took a look at the former Ship's Haven restaurant on Route 1 in Lynnfield. To follow up, it turns out that the place had a fairly ambitious marketing operation for its day, offering postcards made from both linen and chrome.

The chrome postcard is dated 1960 and offers three shots of the interior of the old restaurant as well as its grounds.

For the linen postcard, its image is identical to the regular postcard that was highlighted in last week's mention of Ship's Haven.

And for this one, it's another vintage Ship's Haven postcard offering four images of the interior and the grounds – which for some reason seem reminiscent of a miniature golf course.

Country Road: It seems odd that anyone would buy a postcard bearing the image of an unnamed "old road" in any town really. It could be a turn of the century rendition of Walnut Street perhaps – or it could have come from a company that took the same image and ran it as "an old road" in numerous towns across America – especially in light of that blank white field the "Lynnfield, Mass." is printed on.

More Classic Restaurants: This listing expires on Saturday, which is also the publication date of this article. However, it still bears mentioning because it can be filed under "things you won't come across again." This seller was offering matchbooks from five classic Lynnfield restaurants at once, only one of which still exists. They are: New England Oyster House (Route #1 Northbound Lane), the English Teahouse Restaurant at 275 Broadway (Route 1 North), The Towne Lyne House on Route 1, George Page's Colonial at Lynnfield, and The Ship/Dockside Pub.
